Nexteq Freedom Technology Overview
Nexteq Freedom technology is an enhancement of traditional Precise Point Positioning (PPP) technology to achieve 20-30 cm positioning accuracy with stand-alone GNSS receivers. Unlike traditional PPP which requires high accuracy satellite orbit and clock corrections to work, Nexteq Freedom only uses freely available real-time corrections thereby reducing the cost of accuracy.
Methodology
Nexteq Freedom technology uses the real-time GNSS satellite and ionosphere corrections from the freely available Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS). These code based corrections using patented Nexteq Freedom technology are effectively combined with the measurements from GNSS receivers, to achieve high positioning accuracy, with minimum initialization time. Effective Quality Control algorithms prevent multi-path and other abnormal measurements to affect the reliability of the positioning results.
